I go first

Most of the music on my mp3 player is not the stuff played on the radio. Some of the stuff is, but for the most part, nah. I would estimate that near 80% of my artists are female, with a few bits of male here and there. I just happen to love the female vocalist and doso love a good female rocker.
My favorite artist is Lennon Murphy, who I got into in high school. She's mostly unheard of. Her debut album was released on 9/11 and only 2 of her 4 current albums are available stateside. She's into hard rock is currently touring with her other band, Devil's Gift, which is her metal side project. Something interesting about her is that she writes pretty much all her songs on piano and then translates them into rock tracks. She's got one piano+voice album released, and has another to be released after she finishes touring with Devil's Gift.
My mp3 player is a mix of genres. I decided to list some of 'em, just so you could see:
- 12 Stones
- Alex Bach
- Amy Jo Johnson
- Avril Lavigne (pre-Girlfriend)
- Celine Dion
- Coheed and Cambria
- Devil's Gift
- Lacuna Coil
- Lady Sovereign
- Kenny Rogers
- Le Tigre
- Lindsay Lohan
- M2M
- Miranda Lambert
- Nickelback
- Pink
- Rose Falcon
- Spice Girls
- t.A.T.u
I guess if I had to choose the artists I'd be most embarrassed about, I'd go for Dolly Parton or Spice Girls. I grew up with Dolly. Got into her when I was 3. Even named my tape recorder after her. Spice Girls came after that. Usually when I listen to an artist, I listen for life. I don't care for stuff that's fly-by and unlikeable after a time. Gimme something that'll last, and I'm happy. Either that, or something to rock out to!
Your turn!
