I never got a chance to see the movie. I wanted to so bad, to be able to compare the two. But everyone I know that saw the movie, said it was really good.
Go see it if it's still out in your nearest cinema. It's a brilliant film. All the Wild Things were designed from Jim Henson's Workshop (not so much CGI therefore) and the actor playing Max is absolutely fabulous.

It's been a LONG while since I read the book. So my knowledge of it is very vague. I've heard some complaints of how the film, in parts, deviates from the book (possibly a complaint from fan boys/fan girls). I've heard some parents saying that the film was too scary, too boring, too depressing, or too dark for their children. Possibly a mixture of everything. I'm not sure how the book was like...did it seem too dark in anyway for kids?
