I have a question for any British member

I am just wondering which days the mail system in the United Kingdom operates.
In America we have mail on every day except for Sunday. I will be getting some of the British Rainbow Brite books for Christmas, and since these will be shipped from England I would like to know which days my sellers are free to send the items.
I searched for my answer on the internet but couldn't find it.

It's the same, mail is being collected (from the mailboxes) and delivered every day except sundays,
also all post offices are closed on sunday.

Special services such as UPS or Parcelforce may operate 7 days a week tho, I dunno.
