Even if you have it, it's not doing any harm to anyone... yet. All it's done today is update itself, in attempt to make itself harder to remove. The worm hasn't received any instructions to launch an attack of any kind. So all we can assume is that this is going to happen at a later date.

Or there's always the remote possibility that it IS an April Fools joke, and the worm will never do ANYTHING harmful, except what it did on April 1st which is get everyone all riled up over nothing.

Seems to me that's all it is. Some elite hacker getting his kicks out of showing how much more skilled he is than everyone else in the programming department. I haven't had any sign of it myself, but then I don't do much to open myself up to those sorts of things, really. Good luck to anyone that is infected, and here's hoping it's just a prank.

TBH I would've loved to see a little Gremlin pop up on screen, give me the finger, and say

"I am now purging your system....."
