Actually, I think it is green. It appears to be what the old Pennsylvania Railroad called Brunswick Green. It was very dark and was often taken for black, especially on cloudy days.

That's a very shrewd idea for a St. Patrick's day cake. I love that. Also, the side rainbows are very pretty. I see a hint of green in the shamrock too.
