Canada Day
To those who are from Canada besides me or visiters to Canada on this holiday, have a great day.

Canada Day
I think I've listed to far too many songs by The Arrogant Worms, as whenever Canada Day is mentioned all I can think about is their song lyrics:
Forgive us we're Canadian, we try hard to be nice
You, too, can be Canadian if you follow this advice
We could talk for hours on end about the constitution
Which is dry as toast, but sure as heck beats war or revolution
We don't much like to wave the flag, we find patriotism shocking
So we celebrate on Canada Day by going cross-border shopping
So although I don't live in Canada, I do live 34 miles from the nearest border crossing (the Ambassador Bridge, in Detroit).
We get a lot of Canadians who come over here and go shopping. I love living next to Canada.

We could talk for hours on end about the constitution

Are you old enough enough to remember Second City TV, or SCTV? That was one of the wildest things I've ever seen on TV, ever.
And it seems some other National Days are up for July. USA, France, Belgium...

I never watched that show. Not much going on but to see my loca pipe band preform outdoors that night. And the fireworks at around 10:40 pm is too late and out of reach from where I am.Blondine Arc-En-Ciel wrote:Happy

You'll have to see if you can find SCTV on VHS or DVD...

No matter what, I'm never interested in that show. Even my mother doesn't like it either.Blondine Arc-En-Ciel wrote:You'll have to see if you can find SCTV on VHS or DVD...
