I'd have done better sleeping until about 30 minutes before it ended and then going right back to sleep again.
Anyway, I spent a couple of hours at Paris Jazz Corner, the center of my musical universe, and bought about 20 used CDs. I also bought a couple of Paris T-shirts and a bunch of French magazines that I can get here but for more money.
And yes, it did rain late in the afternoon but not as bad as I had expected. I also sat on a park bench as I was having lunch. It was right beside a fountain and very nice.
Next time I go, I'll post it on here in advance. Then we can all meet up at the Place Constantin Pecquer, just across the street from the Lamarck-Caulaincourt Métro station on Line 12. If you like books by Georges Simenon, especially those featuring Jules Maigret, head of the Homicide Squad for the Paris Judicial Police, you'll really enjoy the day. Maigret books and short stories are one of my other collections and I have all 103 of them in English.
