So I've seen this on other forums, and I know on this board there are quite a few of us who enjoy anime from various discussions that have popped up. So let's use this thread to discuss favorites, talk about current shows we're watching, conventions, cosplay, and anything else that's related. You can also include the live action series spawned, as well as any sort of sentai series you like.
Why not start off with a basic intro to yourself relating to anime, eh? Answer all that apply:

Cons are such fun, even the tiny ones. You definitely should go to one someday :3
And I don't believe I've heard the term iyashikei used. What sort of genre is that?

1st series you saw: ASTRO BOY!!!! WOOT! I loved him when I was little!
Favorite series overall: AIR
3 top favorites after your above answer: I've seen a few animes mostly when I was little ironically but I can't remember the names of them but I can tell you for sure I love ASTRO BOY, AIR, Kanon and Naussica (the latter three shown to me by Starvoyager)
Current series you're watching: None at the moment
Favorite genres: I'll give most things a chance
Conventions you attend: havn't yet
Cosplays you do: I really wanna dress up as Misuzu from AIR as Starvoyager thinks I'm a lot like her and I love the character but I'd have to bleach my hair
...and I have a lot lol

1st series you saw: This answer is two. No one really knew they were watching anime as a kid. Knowing, it was Sailor Moon. If we were to otherwise it would be astroboy, maple town serendipity
Favorite series overall: I don't like just one I like shows by genre. Jungle Taitei/ Kimba is one of my most favorites.
3 top favorites after your above answer: Really impossible to answer since I like them by genre. I love AIR, Clannad, Kanon, Monster, Yakitate Japan, Ojamajo Doremi, Comet-san and so forth.
Current series you're watching:ookami kakushi, kimi no todoke, sayonara zetsubou sensei, durarara, bakemonogatari and a few others
Favorite genres: romance, drama, fantasy, horror, mystery, comedy, some mecha, shounen, shoujo, magical girl....so forth
Conventions you attend: I don't attend them reguarly but I have been to one here (god help me) and the Anime Expo once, which was amazing compared to my city's trash.
Cosplays you do: I'm not much for cosplay. I have cosplayed as Ayu from Kanon and Ruki from Digimon Tamers.
Wendy- You should watch Clannad as mentioned to voyager to do the same. The same creators of both Kanon and AIR. Clannad has much more comedy elements at first but has such a great story and watch the orbs. While they have Angel Beats written by the main writer of AIR and Clannad coming out this April (more action orientated) I will probably have romance/dramatic events as well as comedy too since that is how he writes.
