Very nice Jazzy !
You did a great job !
Arielle is so cute !
You re a all-rounder !
Did you use oil-colour for this one or acrylic-paint ?
I had to use oil-colours when I studied art ... but honestly I prefer acrylic paint cause it does not have this aggressive smell.
I am a little bit allergic to some oil-colours ... strange right ? ^^
It s much easier to do highlight effects and shadows with acrylic paint cause it s easy to scumble with them or to mix them !

thankx!
yes this is oil! I had a friend show me oil protrait painting, wow is it a pain! but looks so life like. I've yet to finish it's much more work doing the last coating. I can't quite figure out a shading tecnique. The person teaching used me as a guinea pig to see if he could teach. lol
one day I want to make a huge family oil portrait. in the mean time I used my daughters room as practice. so this first one was simple, not really any shading or many colors.
it takes forever! too many steps since it takes days to dry. this next one is 16x20 with several colors & shading, so lots more work. I'm about half way there now. we'll see. I like ariel too, she's just different. It was hard to choose only 4 to paint of her, but the first is my fav!

Oil painting is a very high art !
I never accepted the challenge ! :-)))
Always used Acrylic-techniques when I was forced to paint.
When I had the choice I prefered more graphical techniques !
Look forward to see some more paintings from you in the future Jazzy !

lol, i've pretty much tried it all.
soap, perfume, bath salts, wedding gowns & veils, flower arrangements, scrapbooking, making cards, seamstress work, crochet, cross stitch, candle making, making furniture, curtain (window dressings) sketching, oil painting, and now doll making
eventually want to learn to weld! can you imagine ! that & mechanic work.
one day maybe.
pretty much I see things & think I bet I can make it for 1/4 the price.
I guess I can only thank God for the gift of craftiness
It without a shadow of a doubt my gift. I live off of crafts! lol

Squee!! I've actually already got a painting of Rainbow that I bought off Ebay years ago...but I'd love one of Red Butler! My hubby's got some red in his hair and his beard is red, so I always say he's my Red Butler...teeheejazzycreations wrote:oh, btw rainbowbrite what character(s) would you like painted, I may eventually get around to doing some
