Re: why the anime style?
I love the Simpsons lol I can't seem to get into Family Guy...South Park I like but not enough to watch it a lot. Simpsons all the way for those kinda shows. Gargoyles was kinda mature for a cartoon as well I dunno if you know that one but I LOVE it and have since I was about 11 or so. I love a LOT of kids cartoons...I'm "26 years old" but really I'm perpetually 12. Someone thinks it's stupid I watch kiddy shows I will proudly say that haha As for Anime's I use to watch Astro Boy back in the 80's and various other stuff I couldn't remember the name of but...I was not into it for a long time then I saw the animes "AIR" and "Kanon" and my love of it is kinda resurrected hehe
Re: why the anime style?
There are a list of classic animes I could give you. They're shows or movies that every anime fan should see at least once, shows that don't get nearly as much attention these days as they should thanks to all of the new Naruto and Bleach fans -.-;;
"I hope you know what you're doing, Rainbow."
"You still doubt me, after all this time?"
"I don't doubt," Krys said as he paused at the door. "I worry."

FanChan wrote:Don't get me wrong, I still watch little-kid cartoons xD I really enjoy them. The point is that when the majority of people say it, they're talking about shows for kids. "Saturday Morning Cartoons", etc. I've never heard of things like Family Guy or South Park referred to as a cartoon.
Yeah I get what you mean now.

Yeah villans promote bad behavior and no one should have to hide dolls

Otaku has much more inside meaning but Fanchan has it right without going too in depth. North America has changed the meaning slightly which I disagree with.
I would love to see two Rainbow Brite's one with a cute old skool version and one with a darker more intense story line. Yeah Studio Ghibli does not do TV series.
I wouldn't know which studio to do it for the best quality I would choose Kyo-ani(AIR, Clannad, Kanon) or SHAFT(tales of melodies, memories, zetsubou sensei) since they do some really artistic shots. Or have Makato Shinkai do some crazy amazing animation XD not his style at all!
The best we could do to get a studio to pick this upwould to bring the project forward to a company and give a concept. Hallmark and other holdings would have to approve this exchange and marketing. But we all know Hallmark is a bunch of lazy jerks who can't give us a proper Stormy doll answer.
I would love to see Rainbow Brite anime with merchandise of that like Ojamajo Doremi.
