Selling some of my rare RB dolls and my customs on eBay

Post by aldalindil »

Hi! I'm selling some customs I've made and some rarer Rainbow Brite dolls on eBay, and thought people here might be interested. :)

Custom Stormy I made on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MESELX:IT

Custom plush Skydancer I made on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MESELX:IT

Moonglow (not a custom!) on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MESELX:IT

Tickled Pink w/ boots & comb (not a custom!) on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MESELX:IT

I also have listed right now: Buddy Blue (with original headband), the Color Buggy, Dress Up Rainbow Brite, and a big RB lot! :)

Nice customs but $299? That's a steep price tag. I just sold my entire collection (17+ dolls in good condition) for a little over $150. Not meaning to spoil your hopes but I believe that's a bit out of proportion even for a custom doll.

The BIN prices reflect my ideal prices, given the amount of work that went into my customs. :) It's not that unrealistic--a custom Stormy recently went for the equivalent of $275 USD on eBay Germany, and I think the quality of mine is comparable, despite her lack of a custom-made box. And I know a customizer who used to be on the boards got $250 or more for her customs. So, you never know!

But yes, that's why the starting bid is quite a bit lower. It gives people some options--they can buy her outright for more money if they don't want to deal with bidding or the possibility of losing out, or they can wait and place a bid at auction.

True, there are some very eager collectors out there and it's the right season for special gifts too. I should've sold my stuff closer to christmas I guess but then again I had to sell ASAP. Wishing you good luck anyway! :)
