Minor Site Updates

There has been quite a few minor updates to the site this week which is why I am posting this under the announcement section and not the main section for the site.

The first Rainbow Brite colouring book was posted as a Christmas Gift. If you missed this post, it's under the main RainbowBrite. Co. Uk section of the message board NOT the website. The website Colouring Book Section is not done yet.

Next I updated the lyrics section of the website (MultiMedia>Music) to include all Rainbow Brite Christmas Carols, as well as lyrics from TV specials, and previous albums. You can expect more of those as they are written. I think I was able to settle on a format that is easy to read, using a colour pattern for songs with multiple singers so that it doesn't look crowded with brackets. Please keep in mind spoken lines are italicized and songs being sung by multiple singers is a neutral colour. This is not noted on the lyrics section, for a figured it was self explanatory, however if you feel it needs correcting or explained, or if the colours are hard to read please say so. Also, I do NOT have MP3s for these sections yet. I am working on that.

I also posted an archive of Rainbow Brite Sightings from shows such as “Robot Chicken” and “Family Guy”. Considering the content of these programs I attempted to keep screen shots in good taste. If you feel any information is inappropriate please let me know.

I also posted updated product information including books from my own collection. If you have loading issues with these pages please let me know.

And lastly, please keep in mind I am working on several sections of the site that are not yet posted. If I post a broken link or such please let me know.

in the August 26, 2007 screenshot of robot chicken, Rainbow Brite looks like she's dressed like Mario. Those aren't really cool shows in my opinion, but I just thought I'd point that out because it's kind of funny how she's dressed in a red shirt and blue overalls.

Thank you for the feedback. While you may not agree with the shows popularity it is good to acknowledge the exposure. The creators of these programs know these characters and are exposing them to a generation who never heard of her. It is similar to the saying “No publicity is bad publicity” for at least the name is in the media.

The costume, I can understand their “cheaping out” and not getting a proper costume for her. The skit was short, and the shorter the skit the less time put in to the set and costumes. The doll is a “Kelly” doll from Barbie, so it probably went with one of those dolls.
