If the website is to go hand in hand with the merchandise, then it has to look good to go with the product. Not expensive, not clunky, just eye pleasing. It should not have been launched if it wasn't ready to be fully viewed yet, or at it's best.SunSpire wrote:Would you not rather have them stick their funds into production of the merchandise tho than costly flash animators and voice actors? I didn't like it either, to be perfectly honest, but I'd imagine there's considerably more time and effort spent in making the actual product, the one thing that will make them money in the end. And the website is like them telling us "we are still working on this, RB will come" .. nothing more but nothing less, just a teaser.

They probably could have done a much better job with not much more money, if it would even be more. Heck I'm sure they could have cut the voice acting and taken a different approach altogether. There are a million things they could have done instead of what they chose to do, many of which may have been better.SunSpire wrote:Would you not rather have them stick their funds into production of the merchandise tho than costly flash animators and voice actors? What you have to remember is that if you want to be successful in the mainstream market you have to produce a package that a lot of people like. If you are going to put yourself and your product out there and expect people to give you their money, then you have to make sure you're good at what you do. Just throw out any old thing and people will soon forget you.
Should people who did not like the ending of the seventh Harry Potter book just suck it up and be happy that they even got a book and not voice their disdain? I don't see why, they paid for it.
If Hallmark only wants money from toys then they should only make toys and stop trying to add a story. But if they want to present the entire packaged deal to the world then they'd better know what they are doing.
Also I doubt this animation cost millions of dollars to make. Really.

XD That ending of HP was so fanfic it wasn't funny. I still think a fanfic author could have written a better end than just that.Tennyo wrote:They probably could have done a much better job with not much more money, if it would even be more. As for the new song, that's fine. It seems forced on one line, but it's fine. As someone said, the original probably wouldn't have carried well remixed, and this newer song addresses the fact that it's supposed to be about girls helping out. I have no issues with that.
