Cleaning yields treasures

Since my mother is getting on in age, a day or two a week my brother and I come over and help her clean the house. While reorganizing some boxes in the basement storage room, I found a carrying case full of 80s cartoon book/tape/record read-alongs; including two Rainbow Brite books.


There are two RBB books ("RBB Saves Spring" and "RBB and the Brook Meadow Deer"). The "RBB Saves Spring" book comes with a 33.5 rpm record, tucked into a space in the back of the book. But both stories are also on a single audio cassette tape. I'm a bit confused that since both stories are on one cassette (they must have been sold together), only 1 of the 2 books comes with a record, though. Hmmm...



There were also some Transformers, My Little Pony and Gummi Bears books/tapes in the box.


It just goes to show, you never know what you'll find when cleaning!

Cleaning out the garage at my parents' house yielded more 80s treasures! I found my tiny PVC Starlite and Rainbow Brite figures. I also found a dress for an 11" doll (with color belt transfer still attached), some Strawberry Shortcake dolls and pets, and some Glo-Worms.

I found a Gummi Bears book at the thrift store yesterday and I was on cloud 9! LoL!
