They squeak, like many dog toys do. The difference is that you have to shake these sprites to make them squeak and not squeeze them.

No, no, not at all. If you put a tool into my hands, you've committed a safety violation!

I suppose that it was Sarah's father that made it or perhaps he went to a carpenter and explained what he wanted. All the detail painting was done by hand.

It really looks cool but it's not too practical as a doll house. If the back opened and if there was a separation between the floors, it would have excellent play value. As it is, it's pretty much just for decoration. I think I paid around EUR 30 or USD 50 for it last year. No one else either wanted it or was willing to go pick it up as it was too big to be mailed.

Me too. I wish I had a lamp to put that shade on.

I imagine it would look fine on a plain white ceramic lamp base. Or perhaps someone on this board who is artistic could make you a custom base out of clay?

The lamp shade came from the UK and perhaps it needs a small lamp from the UK to match up with.

* I love the color castle too ;)

* A LOT of the taco bell sprites are defective- I think the "Squeak" dies if the squeaker box gets wet. I'm not sure what else makes it defective, but I have come across more squeak-less sprites than squeaking ones in my time... it took a while to find them all in perfect squeaking condition with their paper tags ;D
