Comedians and Comedy

So everyone's got a sense of humor of some sort, and many have favorite comedians that we enjoy seeing. Some of us can't help but laugh, even if the joke is aimed at us. So who are your favorites? Are there any particular reasons why?
One of my current favorites is Jeff Dunham, and any fan of him knows he's gotten his own show now on Comedy Central, which I watch each week. I rather enjoy his ventriloquism. My favorite acts are the ones with Achmed the Dead Terrorist, and the banter that goes on between Peanut and Jose Jalapeno. Walter's pretty good too.
My other favorite comics are on the Logo channel. There's one show they tend to show often of Vicki Shaw. Her sketches always crack me up, and I wish I could find them online. She had one sketch on sleeping pills and the effects, as well as one on what happens to women in menopause.
Also on Logo is a favorite comedy show of mine, The Big Gay Sketch Show. I love this show. It often makes fun of the stereotypes people think of and has a great group of comics that perform the sketches. Shoot, they even made fun of Perez Hilton, which was great.

Ruff Ruffman is the only one I can think of at the moment, even the dumb ones, I laugh because he even says them.

Well, that's not the sort of show or thing I was talking about. This thread is about comedians who do stand-up or sketches, not comedy that's part of a children's show.

I ve to admit that I watch Matt Lucas and David Williams with their show Little Britain and Little Britain in America when it is aired on German Comedy Central ... I know it is vicious but I always laugh my head off !!! :-)))))))))))
One of my favourite characters of the show is somehow Carol Beer ...
it is sooo funny when she says :
Computer says noooooo ... *cough*
or this shrug of the shoulders with this "Meh-face" ....

I've never heard of them before. Got any favorite videos of them on youtube?
I was also thinking of the ventriloquism in comedy bit and remembered Avenue Q. Anyone else know this one?

Normally I watch the series in german ... the german synchronisation is very good and funny ...

haha that was pretty good. I don't think I've watched too much British humor before. I pm'd you a link to something with Vicki Shaw in it. The video starts on part 6 with her spiel on menopause, but if you don't wanna see that, skip to 5 minutes. She starts going on about her "If you are that stupid, you should die" bit. Pretty good. Always cracks me up. It's something everyone wonders when reading warning labels.

haha yeah I got your PM about it. She's got a great sense of humor. Have you heard of Jeff Dunham? He uses a good many puppets, but Peanut is one of the best. Look up "Peanut Gay Man" on youtube and you'll see why.
