Here is a parody of Star Wars I found on You-Tube. It is called Hardware Wars. This was based on Episode 4: A New Hope. It is a classic take off of the popular movie.

This was split into two parts.

I've known about this for years. I actually was once close to making a sequel to this. The producer loved my screenplay, but he didn't have the resources to back it and the writer of the original wasn't interested in touching it again.

That film, in terms of profit percentage, actually did better than Star Wars. It cost $5000 to make, and earned over $100,000.

Mel Brooks also mentioned this as what inspired him to make Spaceballs.

I first saw a clip of it on a special on CBS back in 1981 on the special effects of The Empire Strikes Back. I got to see the whole thing for the first tim on HBO. Later, a show called TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes showed it.

I still love the line "You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss three bucks good bye!"
