Hi! I picked up this girl at a thrift store recently and I'm very confused by her. I've measured her, and she's 10" not including her hair, marked 1983 Halmark, and in great condition. ^-^ The thing that has me baffled are her shoes. They appear to be different from every other doll that I've found pictures of.
Here is a link to a doll - *NOT MINE* that is identical to my girl, apart from the shoes.

And here is a picture of my girl:
I will try to get some closeups of her boots later, but the major difference is that she does not have the white and blue tennis shoe markings. Rather, her books are simply green. O.o
Help ??? I was going to list her for sale, but I'm not sure exactly who I have.
Can someone please help me with my Patty 'o Green Doll?

Having a quick look at galacticatt's RB guide, I found the following line:
I'm sure someone around here will have more specific infos thoPatty O'Green & Lucky ($7-$12 loose/complete, $25-$35 MIB) accessories: 2 green hair ribbons, green hand-sprite - variations: star shoes vs. plain shoes (watch out for 2003 version who has bandaids on knees)

I agree with Marco. The Patty, Red Butler, and Rainbow Brite dolls were first released with "Star shoes", but depending on later productions and what materials were available by the plants that made them, the Rainbow Brite's and Patty's varied in pattern. Some had star shoes and some didn't.
in the early 2000s a Star Shoes Rainbow Brite was said to have been worth $90-$65 over a normal Rainbow which is $50 - $14 (according to ToyFare magazine), but Patty was only listed as $55 - $14. A lot of variants showed up as collectors began to collect more.
Still, a 9" loose (not in the box) Patty (Star shoe or not) usually sells for anywhere between $2 - $15 depending on her condition. (If she has her sprite, hair ties, ribbon, etc, she will be worth more)

thank you so much, both of you, for your wealth of knowledge. ^-^ Things can get a bit confusing.
