What are other toys you collect? :)

Post by MoonGlow218 »

I was always curious. What does everyone else love besides Rainbow Brite. :) I'm a huge collector of 80's toys and I was wondering what other people collect.

Here's a list of things I collect other than Rainbow Brite.
-Care Bears
-My Little Pony
-Cherry Muffin Cherry
-My Pretty Mermaids
-Sweet Secrets
-Transformers
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
-Ariel dolls [from the little mermaid]
-Alice In Wonderland

I'm sure there's more but thats all I can think of right now. :)

If anyone wants images of the other toys that I collect, just ask me. :)

I don't really 'collect' anything exactly, but I LOVE accessories of any and all kinds, stuffed animals, stationery . . . .

I love anything to do with Rainbow Brite, rainbows, stars, and anything glitter and sparkle. : ) AND if it's a COMBINATION of any of these things and I swoon! : D

What's Cherry Muffin Cherry, My Pretty Mermaids, and Sweet Secrets? : )

Dialga-Brite, what are Groovy Girls? : )

They're contemporary plush dolls, themed about fashion. The first letters of the names of the six originals spell the word "groovy". There are also GG horses and if you press their bumbs they make noise, like neighing, galloping, and snorting.

I really don't have room to collect anything other than Rainbow Brite (hardly have room for that..haha), but I do have small collections of the following:

He-Man
Care Bears
Strawberry Shortcake
Enesco Starlight Starbright Unicorns
80's Cartoon books/coloring books
80's Cartoon VHS tapes
Harry Potter

from back when I had time/money for collecting...lol

I don't really collect much, but I do have a few things

I've got a collection of various Power Ranger toys

- 2 MMPR flip-head morphing Rangers
- my old Kimberly Power Morpher playset
- The entire Dino Thunder team except for the yellow Ranger

I've also got various Digimon figures of sorts from the first three seasons, as well as every digivice version released up until the first version of season 4's. I've got a small collection of trading cards as well.

The one thing I am pretty pleased with is my Shonen Jump manga magazine collection. I have every issue, from #0 to the present day. I no longer have time to read them, but I carefully store them away and someday I may find time to read them again.

Finally, I collect rubber ducks, although it was my mother who really started it. I originally started getting the various color ducks at bath and body works for a diversity project...it's really spawned from there though. I'd say there are over 50 ducks of all shapes and sizes.

I collect teddy bears too...not so much anymore... it was something started for me when I was born. I still have both bears that were given to me at birth.

Im sorta collecting the following, by sorta i mean bits and pieces that i find at a bargin price, usually from op shops (thrift) markets ect, for my daughter to play with and generally it is stuff i grew up with.

* Cupcake dolls
* He-Man/maybe She-Ra ( we have only just discovered her)
* Barbie- anything old in good nic, like earings/neckerlace- clothes and shoes, mainly cause it's expensive to buy brand new
* Polly pocket, though a little moe than sorta, cause i love the novelty ones
* Duplo, don't know if it's 80's but the old stuff is cute

Anything that brings back fond memories
Would love to collect
- the glitter MLP ( i think they were mail order only) my set got damaged in flood and thrown out by someone, if anyone comes across a link for these would love to know it
- Cringer from He-Man have always LOVED him and Teela
