My absolute favorite is a singer named Lennon Murphy. She's a talented lady who's work has helped me through some rough times over the 7 years I've been into her music. She's more known internationally than Stateside because when her debut album was ready to come out, she had just lost her mother and the release date for the album was 9/11/01. Anyway she does acoustic (voice + piano), hard rock, and metal (she has a separate band called Devil's Gift). Many of her songs have two versions- acoustic and rock.

You all are into some really interesting things!! I appreciate all the responses. I feel that it's a great way to get to know each other and all by sharing things in common.

A few others that I like are Enya (with her dreamy beautiful music and soothing voice), Boy George (his voice is so beautiful), Madonna's song 'la isla bonita', Tracy Chapman, and Stone Temple Pilots, Sour Girl song.
