I got some more genga again. I also bought two background and layout sets from yahoo!Japan, mostly just because they were Aaeru. I'll also have a set new week of 50 pages of character designs. They're all copies and not originals, but I'm interested in the images for these, rather than whether they were hand drawn.

Background and Layout:

In cosplay news, I should have my wig by Halloween, so hopefully I'll be able to take some shots of me as Aaeru in Sibylla dress then. And by my birthday next month, I should hopefully have the custom plush Aaeru I bought as a special gift to me.

Mwa ha ha. You should set up an online gallery. :) I love the second layout/background set you bought; very cute.

Awesome! I can't wait to see them. I just finished two more cosplay costumes. Maybe I'll post photos after Halloween, too.

I should at some point XD Right now I just keep a photobucket album with the scans I save from the seller. I need to scan them in on my computer and then upload them. They'd have a much better quality.

I did get my character and object design pages. I love them. Some of them have great detail that is useful for cosplay and fic writing. I'm trying to sell the images so that I can buy the other set the seller has.

I'm wearing Illya to school tomorrow. It's Red Ribbon week and tomorrow is dress as your favorite character from a book. I know there are Fate light novels somewhere and manga should count... I just wanted to cosplay. I'll do my Pajama Ninja on Wednesday for Pajama Day.

Another update:

- I cataloged all of my Simoun collection here so far. It's quite huge I discovered.

- I scanned all of my Genga to get high quality versions on my computer instead of what I had. You can find the new album here.

- I received pictures of my finished Aaeru wig from the commissioner yesterday evening. I should have it next week. I put the images here though so you can see. Next week I'll see about wearing the entire costume and getting pics.

I ordered something special for my birthday this week and I'll have it by Thursday. I had the bright idea of having someone make me a custom plush of Aaeru. I eventually settled on using Planet Go Boom!, which makes UFO style plushes in quite a few different sizes. I had them make Aaeru in 18 inch size, and that's before the hair was added on. I commissioned it back in mid-August and had a deadline of no later than the end of this week.

XD I know! This commissioner doesn't cut corners on hair and I was pleased with how even the odangos turned out, looking just like they were twisted up. I'll take more pics once I have her. Thursday can't come fast enough XD

I got my plush today. I wrote up a post with pics for LJ for her, so I'm linking that here. As I said, not as pleased with the finer details, but overall I love her. To be fair, she is pretty detailed.

Mom gave me this genga as one of my birthday gifts. Coincidentally, it's one I've wanted for awhile now, but never bought. I'm really pleased she picked it up for me.

I now have 273 Simoun settei sheets.

They are all different, even if on many pages the only difference may be some added notes or one has more shading than the other. I've scanned them all in and I've gotten them into the art portfolios I'm storing them in so all that's left is to organize the new ones into the already existing folders I have for settei on my computer. Even with 273, I know there are still others I don't have based on looking at some y!J auctions. Now that they're in 4 art portfolios, they are pretty nifty to look at and will make handy cosplay references for nearly any character.
