Those book-covers look so sweet ...
I like Rose petal a lot ... it is not easy to find the dolls and the videos !
I would like to watch it on dvd ... but sadly I think they will not rerelease it.
...you are totally right ... rose petal is a supercute wrongfully forgotten series.

Very much so. I'd like to see it on DVD as well. The second special is hard to find and the first is nearly impossible. Although, I hear the first special is based on the first book, so I have an idea of how it goes. I'd like to get all the other books in the series.

It's a shame Rose Petal is so forgotten. What's funny is someday I want to revive an 80's property and the two that I really want to do that with are Lady Lovely Locks and Rose Petal Place. I have a long way to go to do that, but I was entertaining the idea of drawing some modernized versions of each and seeing what people think. Acquiring license to do so is what will be expensive.

Sounds like a quite good idea...but you are right ... it could be very expensive to buy a license !

The duchess and the prince are my favourites so I am very happy ! :-D ^^
I also get a Lady Lovelylocks-doll(herself) this week ! :-D
Hey, Tom

When did these dolls come out? The middle one looks a lot like a certain Moonglow doll from the 80's. Was it the inspiration or a copy of sorts?

@ Blondine Arc-En-Ciel :

I am not sure about the concrete year but the lady lovely locks-dolls are 80s toys.
Do you really think "Goldlöckchen" does have a big similarity to the moonglo-char-design ?

The toy that means the most to me has to be my Sonic the Hedgehog plush, I got him in I believe it was 1993 for Christmas. Even while the rest of my plushie collection is in storage, Sonic sits out on display. I pack him everywhere. He came with me to Toronto, Vancouver, even San Francisco. I'll never get rid of him, he means too much to me.
