Seems like we've even figured out a way to make Rainbow Brite still a bit violent XD
It'd be a play kind of violence so I'd see it as more acceptable, and suitable for everyone including both adults and little kids. :)

Yes but to some, it still wouldn't matter who you were shooting...if you were angry or hurt, it's not gonna be Lala Orange you're shooting at...it's gonna be whoever that person is.

Play violence is still violence and you'd still have some up in arms about it. A paintball game might encourage more kids to get into that sport though. That or airsoft.

Yeah that might be, but to me play violence is less unpleasant to look at. :)

They don't have to have guns or anything, they can just use their magic. They'd use star sprinkles to make magical beams of color that you use to "tag" the other players.

Maybe the star sprinkles would get consumed when used, so you'd have to be concious of how many you have left and use some strategy.

I like that idea. I think it would make more sense actually for their powers to come from themselves rather than from guns.

Just so people know, I'm documenting some of the stuff in this topic on my website.

http://biancagames.com/rainbowgame.htm

It has the main ideas from my two bigger posts, and the idea that pinkpuff just gave.

More idea:

I was thinking about how pinkpuff's last idea clashes with starvoyager saying that FPS's are "gun games". Here's the solution I came up with. You would need to have some way of aiming, like a cross hair or line or something, controlled with the mouse. However, you could have the projectiles/powers spawn from star sprinkles in the characters' hands, rather than have them actually holding a gun.
