I so know and agree with how you feel. Even though it's only for corporate reasons, I'm glad that bratz are banned.

I think American Girl dolls are much better, because their outfits are much more appropriate and their stories teach good messages. They seem to me to be the polar opposites of bratz, although some do agrue that they're elitist which may be true in some ways...

You've never heard of American Girl dolls?

Well they are very great quality, but the reason some people think they're elitist is because they're like $100 a doll! They're made by mattel, the company that sued against bratz.

Hah I've always been told to grow up. When some people learn about the fanfiction genres I stick to, I get that a lot. It doesn't bother me. I quickly learned when I was younger that I liked what I did and screw anyone else.

I can't count the times in high school that my friend and I were made fun of for our love of Digimon. I don't watch it anymore, but I love finding little things about it. College, I got the same thing. At that time, I got back into Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and began heavily working on fanfiction in that area. Didn't stop me. I also got back into Dinosaurs...some people thought it was cool...then again my room was always overly stimulating (4 tier checkerboard border of photos around the room, posters, couple hundred children's books for teaching, and near 50 rubber ducks will do that). My fanfiction work progresses from DBZ to Digimon to Power Rangers to Rainbow Brite. I have my original 2 fanfics I wrote but never typed up...I'd not trash them. I have all my Digimon stuff packed away in a box too.

Now it's Rainbow Brite and I know I'd get the same thing. I grew up a kid at heart and that's how it'll always be. I love getting with the daycare or talking to my students about the cool stuff today. I love the look of shock on my students' faces when they find out I know a little bit about Pokemon or Hannah Montana or what-have-you. It's fun. Knowing kids' stuff comes with the whole working with 'em bit and I wouldn't trade that. And I love that the person I'm into is a kid at heart too. That is a special thing indeed.

Haha I love the originals. Of course, I wrote Tommy/Kim (the pairing you liked and that fic turned out mega long), but the majority of my writing focused on femslash of the first Pink Ranger (Kim) with the second Pink Ranger (Katherine). I became the top writer for them.

And yes, I do mean that sitcom. I have the entire series on DVD. It comes in two box sets. Of course, I'm older now, so I get all the social commentary and that's funny in itself. Before they ever decided to release it on DVD though, a bunch of sellers sold pirated copies of the episodes on eBay and I happened to snag a set. Not always the best quality, but it worked. The last episode for that series was indeed one of the best ways to end a show.

I remember that doesnt it end with them being stuck in permanent winter from an asteroid crash or something? Either way awesome show "NOT THE MAMA!!" haha he was too cute! I had a vhs back in the day of the first couple episodes. Pretty sure "Hurling Day" was the name of one...where Earl couldnt wait to throw his mother in law off the cliff into the tar pits or sumthin? LOL too funny...priceless.

It was moreso Earl's fault for helping to plunge them into permanent winter... very good way to introduce the ice age.

I have a couple of the VHS tapes too...and yes, that is indeed Hurling Day. License to Parent is a favorite of mine.

Very nice stories there. I too have my own times of childhood revisited when I hit the toy sections of places like Wal-Mart and Target for my die-cast vehicle collection or hit the specialty stores like Toys R Us or Build a Bear Workshop for eith my die-cast vehicles or Teddy Bears. It's nice to have real childlike fun. Those who think you should grow-up tend to be the ones who really act imature (especialy if one person wants to enjoy child stuff).

Everytime I go to the local grocery store chain, I spend some time in their newly added toy section, and look at all of the stuffed animals they've got. I just love how soft they get them these days *-* I decided I want to try to collect a new stuffed animal each Easter. I was going to stick with bunnies, but the store's got some really adorable sheep this year *-* I'm also beginning a new collection of stuffed lions. They're not easy to find at all @_@
