To those of you who rent houses in the US, take this message as a warning. A trend in my area has been good people paying their rent on time and landlords not making house payments, thereby the renters are evicted when the home is foreclosed on. Best luck to Marco finding a new place and hope to see you back on the boards soon.

(((Jangle)))

Came in to see if there was any update with Marco.

I plan on winning the lotto you know (hehe). I just might have to send some his way so I won't have to worry.

Hey Gale, nice to have you around again! :)

I'm doing fine, I've been calling up a lot of places and viewed a few too but so far I have not found the perfect match, lol .. I was going to share a house with 2 of my flatmates but they dropped out of the deal in the last minute so I'm looking again. Our 1-week deadline to leave this house has been extended till the end of the month, so I got about 2 more weeks which helps. It now is a legal 4 weeks notice they've given us, and the letter from before is pretty much invalid.

So, I keep looking .. with a bit of luck I might even find something in this area so I can still take the bus or cycle into work as usual :)

Only problem will be the internet connection, I'm with Tiscali and they can only transfer my existing line if there's already a live phone point in the new house, otherwise it'll cost quite a bit to install / activate one. We'll see!

Thanks Everyone! :) .. any spare food, send it my way!! LOL!! I'm only joking, I'm fine :P

Nothing just yet but I got a few backup places that I can fall onto in case I don't find anything better in the next 5 days. Here goes nothing ...

I might have no internet for a few weeks until I can sort out a transfer or even a new connection, but I will post before I get cut off so no worries.

Night! :)

Thanks guys! :)

The weekend is approaching fast, I'll be moving saturday morning. I found a place on the city center borders just 5 mins. away from work and I just hired a "man with a van" to help me shift all my furniture (I got a few more things than last time I moved)

The house is in a cul-de-sac off the main road, there's only very few places in the city center that are so quiet! For the first time in a year I'll be able to sleep properly cos I've been living on a 4-lane main road with pedestrian lights right in front of my window that go "beep" like every 20 seconds during the day, not to mention the countless busses, trucks and emergency vehicles rushing past!!)

There's currently 4 people living there, one foreign student and Carol, the daughter of the house owner who looks after the place. I haven't met the other 2 tenants yet. There's also a nice and very clean garden. It is rather expensive but living costs everywhere in the UK have gone up, I just hope I'll be able to afford it. All of us here at my current home have to be out by sunday so I haven't really got a choice.

There's a telephone point in my room and I hope it's active so I can transfer my existing connection. But even if not, there's already WIFI internet in the house so I shouldn't be gone for long.

I'll take some pictures once I moved in! :)

See ya next week everyone!!
