It has to be white... or anything that looks neon!
It's good to look at when it's surrounded by dark colors. It's pure, it's delicate and works well on techie things. But white can be tiresome and boring.
White gets easily stained and it shows its age on stuff. For crayons it's the least used since I usually have white paper to work with.
Stark white backgrounds hurt my eyes and the sight of neon colors combined with this background is blinding!

Wow I had no idea that so many would have a dislike toward yellow. I dunno. There's just something about it. It's always felt different to me for some reason and that's something I really cannot explain. But, I do love coloring with green! So pretty

Hmmm....if "technically" white is not a color by your understanding, so is peach. It's a shade of orange.TheWendybird wrote:
Oh geez I really hate it when i'm coloring in a picture and I go to use a peach colored pencil and it turns out too dark.
What do you tell people when somebody asks you "What is the color of your teeth?" I hope it isn't yellow.

LOL I know I know. Technically it is just easier to say color. I just always like to make the joke that if black and white are colors black and white tv's would be called color tv's :oP

Well, if anyone knew a thing about how color really works, the correct question to ask someone would be, "What is the saturation of your teeth?"SEGAGIGA wrote:Hmmm....if "technically" white is not a color by your understanding, so is peach. It's a shade of orange.

What we're really talking about here are hues.

It could also be said that white and black are both the total absence and the complete presence of colour. White light is the combination of all colours, but something that is white is absorbing all colour and thus reflecting none, creating the absence of colour. Black, or darkness, is the absence of light - therefor colour - while at the same time to achieve the colour black, you must combine all colours. Or something like that. I love white and black.

Re: What is a color you DON'T like?
Perhaps my dislike comes from when I was little. My room as a child was painted yellow. Over the years it's faded so you can't tell unless you find the spot where my parents had kept a wall hanging of a teddy bear at the beach. That particular spot still retains the original cover and it is an ugly pale mustardy color. I've got most of it covered up with another picture so it can't be seen!Rainbow Brite wrote:I love yellow It's so brite and cheerful! Grey... have no idea why, but as crayons and pencils i could never find any where to use the "gloomy" colour, except eeyore!
BTW love yellow, but it definately has it place! Just painted my kids play room a yellow with orange trim, hubby hates it, but it's great, so cheerful
