Ideas for my 30th bday party?

I am thinking of having an 80's cartoon birthday party, any ideas? My birthday is Aug, so it is winter and cold. I will invite about 30 adults and half a dozen chidren.

I was thinking of geeting a whole of 80's cartoons and playing the in the background for everyone to see.

I was going to do up invites and enverlopes with 80's cartoon pics.

Display what toys i have from that era.
Any one have any other ideas, im planning early so i have time to prepare and im soooo xcited already

Good idea Katy! You could also have 80's cartoons playing non stop on the TV.

You could also track down some character plates and napkins and other goodies. That is if you can find them anywhere anymore.

Ooooo and you could play a version of "Name That Tune" where you play the first 2-3 seconds of an 80's cartoon theme song and whoever guesses it correctly first gets a point...and the person with the most points at the end wins a prize

that would be fun for all ages. Another possibility would be to draw the characters ala pictionary too. Sort of a Cartoon Olympics!

Great ideas! If you are interested in the one about plates, i have the hard plastic plates cups and bowls etc of 80's cartoons if you'd be interested in purchasing a few. You can also find them on ebay. My kids are getting older, so not needing them like they used too and i have quite a bit! What day in August? i have two august babies, it seems to be the most popular birth month from what i have seen.

Im so excited, im really struggerling with the whole concept cause there is so much from that era that is just so good.

Im thinking maybe he-man and rainbow brite, my new founded passions, but DH said he might have a he-man party for his 30th next year.

My birthday is the 1st, baby dragon fly.

a strawberry shortcake bowl and plate more current
1 care bear plate with one matching cup
care bear cousins cup
1 rainbow brite cup with matching cup
