Smurfs episode parallels Rainbow Brite

Hi all!

I'm watching The Smurfs right now and this episode is one I haven't seen before, but it looks very familiar. The world is gray and along comes a fairy (called a color sprite) with rainbow hair, who has a palette and a paint brush (from which comes forth a rainbow) who is bringing color to the world. Her name? It's Spectra! She has a color wheel which mixes all the colors, and the Smurflings break it. Spectra collapses because she can't live in a world without colors, much like how Rainbow Brite reacts to The Pits. Naturally it's up to the Smurfs to journey to The Rainbow Pool to bring back some liquid light and restore the colors!

If that Wikia article is correct, it says season 6 which was 1986-87. http://smurfs.wikia.com/wiki/Smurfs_Season_6
