This kind of stuff just makes me mad, like wow, 5 seconds left and this bidder just wiped the floor on my bid, can a bidder know in 5 seconds the highest bid, click bid the 2xs, then hit the actual bid button. I can't! no one I that has an eBay account I know can't! If it's any of you that won this, good for you; I'm sorry but Gawd... There's always that one bidder that's watching an auction like a hawk, and it annoys me. GRRRRRRRR!

If you hit the One Click Bid button, it is possible to bid multiple times in a matter of seconds. I've definitely done it before.

But the great thing about eBay: there are always second chances at awesome items: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0512098138

For some reason, MIB dolls are showing up A LOT on eBay recently.

What you're looking at when that happens is automatic delayed bidding, called sniping. There are websites where you can feed in the ebay item number, ending time and your max bid and it will do the rest. These bids usually come in during the last five seconds or so and it's impossible to keep up with them if several are going on at once. It's better to have a healthy bid in place during the last hour or so. That way if someone else gets it, you've made them pay dearly.
