Is it cheaper to buy from a higher-priced German auction (http://cgi.ebay.de/Grosser-Sternwichtel ... 45f13bb1ae) or buy from a foreign eBay seller and pay a much higher shipping fee?
@Clinozoisite :

On balance none of the auctions I numerated come into question for me regrettably.
All auctions would be too expensive and it would be illogical of me to buy.
I would prefer a euopean auction with a proper price(not higher than 25dollar for Posie used/loose), no high shiping costs or even customs dues.
I still just wonder why Posie is the only girl sprite that is sold at such high prices at the moment. :unsure:

Empirically the colours of the fur do not bleach out that much over the years ... this is only my personal opinion ... I am not sure whether this is a fact.
I think it has often to do with photoflash,ambient light or individual postprocessing with the help of Photoshop(for example) ! ;)
Sellers often use Photoshop to make the items look better.
Private sellers often tend to use photos of lower quality.

Tom;

I promise you that this has nothing to do with Posie. I am 100% certain that seller would ask the same price for any of the girl sprites. Relax and wait for Posie to come around again from someone else.

I think you are right ... best thing to do : I should wait for Posie to get offered by a private seller for a fair price.

Yeah, prices in the Rainbow Brite market fluctuate rapidly, so it may be worth waiting around to see if prices drop. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever seen the collectibles market so low (in general). Although 99% of my Rainbow Brite collection has come from yard sales, thrift stores, flea markets and antique malls, I don't believe I've ever seen Posie before. And that's in more than 20 years of looking. She might actually be somewhat rare, but that's just in my personal experience.

Anyhow I want Posie for a fair price .... I don t want to wait for a bargain.
The current German auction is unacceptable at least. (converted 39 dollar)
I think the ebay-market could be a little more representative to find out if Posie is really rare.
I saw her quite often in the past.
Too bad I want to buy her right now. :-)))))))))))

:lol: :lol: :lol: LMAO !!! ^^

I TOLD YOU SO SELLER !!!!!!!!! :-))))))))

http://cgi.ebay.de/Grosser-Sternwichtel ... ZDE_Allesf

I got my Posie now ... great quality (as far as the photo promises)
The sprite has no scuffed nose and the fur still seems to be very fluffy.
Some sellers think they can sit out potential buyers.
This time I won the game !!! *sassy-grin*
At first I did not want to buy from this seller cause he was not very
accommodating ... but he finally realized that his prize was way too high and so
I changed my mind ! ^^
That s still a lot of money but not above my asking price.
I am quite satisfied ! ;)
