durability question

Post by Dialga-Brite »

I've got a question that I'd like answered in case I ever buy any more custom rb dolls. And I'm speaking for in general the ones that are of good quality, are they durable? Like can I take them to bed like I do with Moonglo and Tickled Pink and not have them come apart? I'm not talking about getting dirty, or their hair getting untidy - those things don't really bother me. I just don't want parts or pieces of them to fall off or get torn.
Number of Pinks in my Tickled Pink Sanctuary: 56
Moonglos: 6
Dress up Rainbow Brites: 9

Depends on the craftsmanship of the doll, but as a general rule, no. Customs are meant for display only. Being handcrafted it's harder to get the materials and the sewing that can stand up to play or wear. Also, most paint jobs done on plastic can flake or peel if handled too often.
