Rainbow Brite Board Games

This is the neatest idea I think I've seen us come up with so far. The idea of a bunch of classic (or not so classic) board games transformed into RB games really gets the creative juices going.

So, I did some sketching for a chess set. Colour Kids vs. Friends. The show really needs more Friends T-T



Oh, and, Wajah's adorable. He needs some more fan-time.

XD As I said before, Stormy's not too happy about being queen... I think it's cause she got stuck with Krys...otherwise you think she'd be happy to duke it out with Rainbow!

And yes, Wajah is definitely adorable and cute. Better than Sorrell and Plock!

Omg this is so awesome!

And I was thinking the same thing, about stormy being married to krys. But it doesn't bother me that much and I think it still needs to be that way for the concept of color kids vs friends to work properly.


Also, I especially love the Moonglo and Tickled Pink pieces and I think I would be the friends if I played this with someone.

We all know the Queen rules the board. I couldn't see anyone BUT Stormy be Queen, ordering everyone about, taking charge, dominating the board. Poor Krys is stuck to one square at a time.

I feel kinda bad making the Sprites pawns, though xDD "Hey, Romeo, move over there and get licked so I don't." Poor little guys.

Oh I know. Stormy wouldn't be good for any other position but a queen. Poor Krys is just someone to kick around and do what she asks... as for the sprites, give them all baseball mitts to protect their bottoms? So they have padding!

Good point, I kinda feel bad for them too. But being that there's lots of them, they fit the job of being underlings/pawns the best.

That's the point, Wendy ^^; I can make it real. I'll be doing some more study sketches of each piece, to figure out how they look from the side and back as well, along with some other concept work. Then I'll choose a few to do.

I'm pondering about doing one with them dressed up, rather than with just a hat or shield determining their classification.

I'm also going to do a villains set. Any suggestion? I think we all know who the Queen would be. I'm musing with the idea of having Murky be the pawn. His hat even fits the part.

I'm also considering designing sets that will be for just one character. Either with the character dressing up as each piece, or just leaving that character as King or Queen and having items that relate to that character be the other various pieces.

Sooooo many ideas. Look at what you guys did >.<

Plus I really want to do a Monopoly board.

Oh, and anyone else who comes up with a custom board game idea, go ahead and post here!
