(Not sure where to post this, so I put it here since it's a custom ringtone. If there's a better location for it, it's all right to move it. Thanks!)

I was finally able to buy the codec for my Melody Editor program, which is packaged with the Motorola Phone Tools program. I use it to make all my ringtones, and have been itching to make some Rainbow Brite ones. So while I was at it, I figured I'd see if anyone else would be interested in some. They are saved in .mp3 format and I usually upload anything I share to rapidshare.de. These ringtones are not midi files so you'll have the part of the song you want.

If you're interested, let me know. I was made aware that the songs on the .co.uk site have been updated with better sound quality, so those are the ones I'll use when making them. If you want a particular part of the song only, let me know. It's very helpful to give me the time into the track where you'd like the tone to begin.

Lots of phones use different tones. What kind of tones would these be? Perhaps we can design some cellphone Wallpapers as well!
Good idea. I would be happy to hear a tone you would have to see how it sounds.

I dunno what you mean by the tone question. All I know is that it makes the files in .mp3 format and the bitrate is suited to the song. I know it wouldn't be compatible with all phones, but I know at least it would work with the Razrs

RingTones

There are 3 different types of tones, depending on your phone. Monophonic, Polyphonic, and Truetone.

I wasn't sure what type your software created. I understand now and I think it would be a fun idea. :)

I'd have to check and see what type. I can do that this weekend, which is probably when I'll attempt working on them. I can make the .mp3 files and then people can see if they work well on their phone. It's rare that I get a song that sounds completely horrible once transferred

I wanted to post with an update of what I have so far for the first batch:

Bink Bonk Chorus
Make Room for a Rainbow Inside (Chorus)
Make Room for a Rainbow Inside (Verse 2)
Rainbow Brite and Me (Chorus)
Rainbow Brite and Me (Chorus 2; probably not called this but yeah)
Rainbow Brite Closing Theme (Shortened)
Starlite, Rainbow Brite (Chorus)

Anything else that someone wants? Watercolor suggested the Bink Bonk one. I was going to save the Christmas ones for when it was actually near the holiday, but if anyone truly wants them now, I could whip some up.

I may consider this "batch 1" and wait to do some of the others if no one has any current requests.

I make my own ringtones using Goldwave. They're all in MP3 format. I have Rainbow Brite & Me as one. :)

I'd definately be interested! I have NES ringtones from a NES message board and I would love to have a RB ringtone! I'm looking for a Pink Panther theme song too.

If you have a cellphone and laptop which are both bluetooth capable, you can send mp3s to your cell phone. I didn't do anything to my Rainbow Brite mp3. I just installed some freeware to allow my cell and computer to interface with one another. Just do a google search -- there are many free options out there. :)
