Stormy's hair is awesome! I love this drawing, definitely looks like the original Stormy at age 18 and still has her personality.

I'm glad everyone liked the Stormy pic so much. I have plans for more Stormy rockin' out in the future.

There will also be more colour pictures in the future. I'm not sure which ones I want to colour yet, but some old ones will show up in colour and maybe some new ones.

Thanks Image

Re: JG - Shy Violet

Post by J3llyb3ans »

Today's illustration is of a personal favorite character, Shy Violet. I wanted a picture that really felt like her and I think this does. I was trying to decide what book she should be holding and how to arrange the letters so it would look right. Eventually I decided to leave the cover blank, but considering Violet, I think it's safe to say, it's something scientific.

I'm surprised I hadn't drawn her till now.

Re: JG - Classic Rainbow

Post by J3llyb3ans »

In the entire time I've been posting these drawings here, I've been getting a lot of inspiration and some experience with trying to get the likeness of characters correct (while taking some liberties.). I'll admit some inspiration came from requests. Those were an interesting experience, and new experiences are always helpful for an artist. So new ideas are always welcome.

I knew what character I wanted to draw today, but I didn't have a picture with me, so I'll start on that one tonight (I'm not spoiling the surprise). So when I was sitting in my car on lunch, the question of "What's my plan B for today's pic?" came up. I just started sketching and it came to me ........ "What does my gallery need most?" You guessed it. Classic Rainbow! I decided to go for making this one as cute as possible and include a very cheerful feeling to the image. Something sure to brighten a bad day at work which also happened to be quite dreary as well.

Here's the pic that was sure to come eventually, Classic Rainbow.

Re: JG - Rose Petal

Post by J3llyb3ans »

^Thanks Tom, I was trying to make her as cute and cheerful as possible.

This is a special entry today, since I finished this next drawing last night. It's the one I meant to do yesterday. It's Rose Petal from Rose Petal Place. She's a character who's really been growing on me lately. I don't remember watching the cartoon when I was a kid, but when I watched it not too long ago, it seemed familiar. I found one of the books at an antique shop this week and was inspired for this pic. There may be more on the way.

I'd like to know if anyone remembers her or has seen the cartoon? It seems rather obscure compared to other 80's titles.

I'm not going to be on for long. Just long enough to post this before going to work.

Here's Rose Petal. Please enjoy.
