Ultimate Buddy Blue

Ok so I've been trying to teach myself to draw and lately i've been working really hard on my Rainbow Brite Fan Fic so I started practising by drawing out some of those ideas.

These are only half done but I was so excited I wanted to post them.

This is Buddy Blue Ultimate. In Season 3 (i'm writing it episodically and in a TV show type structure) the color kids all get power upgrades and new outfits. This is buddy blues. There are two versions and blue and a white... which do you prefer?

Yea, i mean I've been teaching myself the last year and a half or so... I think i'm getting to be ok when drawing things straight on, but I still can't pose things which is frustrating. Basically I can draw things straight on or from the side and thats it. lol My goal this year is to draw 3 times a week though and really stick to it so I get better, and I'm on an RB kick so you'll likely be see more hee hee.

I'm totally new to this anime/manga type drawing style though, I find it a bit easier at least in terms of the face.
