My other hobby is collecting animation cels...so it is no surprise that I own some original production art from Rainbow Brite! I was even lucky enough to find a cel from the Opening.

If anyone knows where I can find more cels, please let me know. They are very rare --- I've seen a handful of TV cels, some cereal commercial cels and 2 from the movie.

I usually would suggest eBay, but lately I have not seen any on there. There is a poster shop not to far from me that sells old/vintage animation cells, when I have a chance to get down there I can see what that have and see if they have any sources they can recommend.

I have only seen cels come up on ebay once in the past 6 years... so rare is an understatement.
Most cells get distroyed or boxed up and forgotten about, which makes it funny taht the ones you see tend sell for nothing. One cel I saw on ebay I think only sold for 6 bucks and that was back when Moonglo was going for thousands... back in the day...

i haven't seen any for years now. I've never seen any from the tv series. Bettina mentioned she has afew. Perhaps a few other voice actors got some. I bet they are in a warehouse or stored away. I have a picture saved of Stormy from the movie. That was about 10 years ago from ebay. I too want to own some of the cels I have not come across many at all. Same with MLP I only see the tales ones which I don't careat all for.

*scours the internet for cels* Sounds like a challenge I'm up to. I'd like to add some to my collection as well. If I ever find any.

Yeah...finding Rainbow Brite cels is ridiculously difficult. And the prices can be insanely high depending on the quality of the image.

I was recently lucky enough to be trolling production art stores on eBay and stumbled across some original costume designs!

One of the designs raises a question for me regarding a doll I own. Hopefully I'll remember to photograph her later and post my query on the boards here. :)

I've just randomly spotted these on the net, thought I'd post them here since you already got the sketches for those above, in case anyone cares :)

This is an Australian seller on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WINNIE-THE-POOH- ... 240%3A1318

They have heaps of cels, don't know how genuine they are. Rating seems pretty good, you could check and see if they could get hold of RB for you
