2003 Doll Question

Newbie here! Love the website!

I had a question about the 2003 re-issue dolls and was wondering if anyone on here would be able to answer for me, I've never really collected RB dolls/toys before but I was looking at buying some but I had a question about some of the dolls I have seen online like ebay. I noticed that some of the MIP figures (talking about the dolls with the light up sprites) have the plastic wrap around the hair still and some don’t, so just curious if anyone on here knows if that was just a production difference or if that were put back in the box? lol Just a bit confused/curious about it

None of mine have plastic on their heads, and they haven't been opened. So I'm assuming those with plastic have been opened. Anybody else have them still MIB who can double check?

Thank you! I ended up deciding since I wasn't going to remove from the box, just keep them to display I would stay away from the ones with wrapped hair and they don't look as pretty imho.
