Blushing 12" doll

Post by Clinozoisite »

Although I am not certain, I don't think I've ever seen a doll with this much blush before. She also has some really weird boots. Can anyone help ID her?

Turn her over and see what's marked on the back of her head, just below the hairline. Now look at the hiney hangar/tush tag.

Tell us what you found in both places.

There is a lot of variation I've noticed between the face-paint on all of the dolls (blush/star size/ect)- one of her boots does look wonky but it is hard to tell from the picture (and again, there is a lot of variation - especially between the dolls made in China and the dolls made in Taiwan)

What does her tag say exactly? (Does it say made by Mattel?) - if she is a re-release, or from another country, her tag might shed some light-

her dress kind of looks like it is from the 20th anniversary doll- doesn't it?

I'll let you know when I get her. A friend of mine who lives in Tokyo knows how much I like RBB and bought this for me. It should arrive in a few weeks.

Looks like one of these knock-offs to me:

Notice the boots and the thin yarn hair.

Thanks for the link! She does look identical to the doll in the other thread. I'll have to inspect her when she arrives and post photos.

It'll be interesting to see if she does turn out to be the same knockoff, or a different variation.

Wasn't there a Gen 1 doll for the Japanese market or is that just a fantasy? If so, she could have been made locally, like the dolls for Brazil, France and Spain were.
