People make them. Many make them to represent the dress up doll that was supposed to be released but never was.

You can find them on ebay. You see the doll more than the costume. Just search Rainbow Brite on there and it should be under crafts or a similar category.

How did you end up getting ahold of film pieces? I know they sometimes appear for various movies on ebay. I have a piece from Gremlins 2: The New Batch of the vegetable gremlin.

Brand New Day (title through song, and Murky and Lurky)
Stormy/Race (Stormy and Rainbow, Skydancer and the Race)
