Re: Lincoln Highway Yard Sale
Like most yard sales, the merchandise changes every year. There is really no way to anticipate which regions will bring you the best stuff. Typically folks selling 80s and 90s items will have very colorful booths, crammed with lots of toys. They're not hard to spot.
From which end of the sale are you starting your shopping spree?

Probably the best thing is to just look for sellers getting rid of large amounts of toys. With yardsales, it's really a lot of luck finding what you want. You never know what you'll come across so the best thing is to keep an eye out.

I'm going to take a guess that it's similar to the Rt. 50 yardsale that occurs each year. Anyone living along that particular highway can set up a yardsale and people travel up and down trying to find what they want.Rainbowbrite84 wrote:Sorry if this sounds stupid, but whats the Lincoln Highway Yardsale? RB84, it's the biggest yard sale/flea market I've heard of. It follows Lincoln Highway. It follows from Van Wert, Ohio to Alabama more than 600 miles. It goes even farther than that... I've heard that all of Ada, Alger and Van Wert have almost every house selling. And mine buying... for more info, google Lincoln Highway Yard Sale.

It's not nearly the size of Rt. 50, but they do claim that more than 4000 people will have sales. I'm starting at their northern end at West Unity, OH and going south. I'll probably only get as far as Tennessee, but you never know.
