Welcome totiffersmh wrote:I have an old Rainbow Brite Tricylce from my childhood. It's rusted in a lot of places, but I want to try to fix it up as much as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions or even have one of these? I can't find a lot of info online. I'm probably going to need some new parts such as pedals and maybe handlebars.
Thanks!

You can get pedals, handle bars, hand grips, wheels and seats from any good bike store. Of course they won't be the originals, but those were made from unobtainium so don't worry about it.
Rust is another matter. Of course you can spray over it but there goes your RB-specific decorations. I suggest you have someone that knows how make a digital copy of the original decorations and get their dimensions. It may be then be possible to make you a replacement set or sets as decals or stickers which you can apply to the trike after it's painted.
If you're going to do this, I suggest you take the trike to an auto body shop. OK, that sounds crazy, but most are good at rust removal, surface preparation and paint matching. This is your best way to get a top quality finish. Then you can apply your decorations or have them to do it. Mind you, I didn't say it would be cheap.
If you don't mind my asking, where are you located?
