Books on Colors

Post by Chibi Rachy »

This just randomly crossed my mind as I was getting ready for school this morning. I've been doing a longterm sub stint in kindergarten and this week we started with learning our colors, what they look like, things that are that color, etc. So I was wondering if there was a set of books specifically RB that were geared to talking about color. I've seen some things in the RB Treasury, but I'm talking about actual story books. I don't think there were, but I know some others might be able to help me with this.

If there weren't, I do think it'd be interesting to have a set of RB books specifically for color. She's in charge of spreading color. The show was geared to a younger set; why not also include the preschoolers/kindergarteners. Actually, kindergarten is in the 5-7 yr range, but still. One book would be red, another yellow, etc. You could even have the Color Kid in charge of that color narrate the book. We have a set of books like this in the classroom and they're really neat for the kids to look through.

Okay, so it's almost 7 AM and I'm in my teacher state of mind, but still. It makes sense!
