Future of Rainbow Brite?

I wonder. If there was ever going to be a new Rainbow Brite movie that rebooted the franchise, how would you like it to be done?

Would you have it follow the same formula from previous incarnations and become predictable and cliché, or would you rather have it deviate from the fans' expectations and follow a different direction?

One other thing, would you prefer the movie to be in CG animation, live-action, or mixed? Or...in performance capture (a la Polar Express, Tintin etc.)?

I honestly think I'd like to see a new Rainbow Brite movie. I think that would be fun. I'm totally cheesy and would like to see the movie be predictable and cliche :)
I'm honestly not one for messing with storylines, and adding twists when its not necessary. Also I'd like to see the movie done in old school hand drawn animation!! That's the best!

I'm pretty content with Rainbow Brite, as is. I believe when Hollywood feels the need to re-vamp things, it usually turns out terribly.

With that said, if they *were* to release a new RB movie, I would want it done in a traditional 2-D style of animation with similar character designs (perhaps update them a smidgeon so they don't look so 80s, but don't go overboard). I'd also want to keep it a film for younger kids, so it would need to have a fairly predictable plot. There is nothing wrong with super-villains being thwarted!
