As of January 1st, Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer is now available on Netflix streaming for those who have an account It's even in wide screen, BUT to achieve wide screen, they've cut off the top and bottom of the images. It was converted from a 1.33:1 to 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The good news is that it appears to be a remaster from the original film (albeit, shoddy)...or at the very least a very decent resolution up-conversion from the DVD source. Netflix SAYS that the streaming version is HD, but until they release a blu-ray of it, it's hard to say. The quality seems a little better than the DVD, but not a ton.

LOL!! Good for you My hubby watched most of it with me last night too. It makes me so giddy when he imitates Lurky or says "I love this part"...hehehe ^_^

He pretended he hated it.. but you could tell, he kept forgetting to pretend to ignore it, got caught up in the story line ^.^
