Regina Regenbogen Comics!!!
Does anyone have Regina Regenbogen Comics Volume 29 and Super-Auswahlband 5?
These are the only two that I don't have. I would like to get the story titles from both of these so I can cross-reference them to the other books.
I'm about half way through this project and have found that many stories were shared between the five different series. I plan on publishing my work on here when the time comes.
Thank you.

Re: Regina Regenbogen Comics!!!
I should really learn German- just so I could read the comics and understand the story-tapes!
Germany got SOOOOOO much more stuff than the US... and they seem to have the most of the stuff that is on the rare side in the US (girl sprites, baby sprites, Dress-up dolls ect) I am actually pretty surprised more MIB Moonglows haven't turned up on ebay.de ...

Thanks, Tom. That is very helpful. It's something of a surprise to see only two feature stories in one book. Normally there are at least three and four or five is normal for the regular series, at least the early ones.
I've got extras of volumes 11 and 13 in good condition if you want to trade.

I just discovered an Auswahlband 9!!!
I didn't know that it existed. Perhaps there's also a 10.

@ Galacticatt:
I prove you right.
It would be a great thing for all rainbow brite fans to understand the German story tapes. These tapes are so good. There were tons of such tapes available in the 80s in Germany but "Regina Regenbogen" was one of the best series ever.
German isn t a very easy language to learn but there are also a lot more difficult languages. As a big fan of rainbow it could really be very useful to learn some German.
When I have enough time left I want to translate a tape.
4 and 14 are the best episodes I guess.
I discussed favourite tapes with a lot of german fans and those 2 mentioned episodes seem to be the most popular ones cause the story is most interesting here and the atmosphere is most enchantingly.
By the way ... I might be wrong but I think "collecting MIB toys" was never very popular in Germany ... so most of the moonglo-boxes might ve been thrown away.
@ Blondine Arc-En-Ciel :
Yes ... this indeed seems to be an exception ... volume 29 only includes 2 longer comic-stories and one narration.
Sorry...I can not trade ... I have no volumes double and collect the comics too. ;-)
Hmmm...interesting how many "Auswahlbände" do exist ...
one really has to keep eyes open ... sometimes interesting rainbow stuff appears.

I think you are right- there are actually very very few MIB of any Rainbow Brite dolls on ebay.de now that I think of it- I guess the German kids just liked their dolls too much :DBy the way ... Oooh-- good to know! Well I hope the tapes do get translated one day-4 and 14 are the best episodes I guess.

Re: Regina Regenbogen Comics!!!
From what I can understand from the info inside the front covers, some of the artwork was done in England, some in Germany, and most in Italy. There are huge variations in the quality of the art from one story to the next, even when it came from the same studio. Some of it is pretty poor.
Also, it seems that some of the stories from the comics were broadcast on the RTL radio network in Germany.
And I wonder if there was any relationship between the comics and the story cassettes.
Perhaps Tom sprite can verify this.

Indeed fan translation would be awesome. Most fan translations these days tend to be pretty good.IndigoJoy wrote:Wow, now that's dedication! I would just settle for fan translations, lol.Galacticatt wrote:I should really learn German- just so I could read the comics and understand the story-tapes!
