Previous Rainbow Brites

Since the name is basically a title, what do you think happened to the previous Rainbow Brites of the past? Were they foiled by Murky or some other dastardly force? We know one was brought down by the Dark One in some way, based on the little info we have from The Beginning of Rainbow Land eps. What about the others? Or do you think there was only one before Wisp?

I really don't think Murky would have been capable of bringing down Rainbow Brite on his own. He could have teamed up with the Dark One to get rid of the one prior to Wisp. Of course, this begs the question of how many Rainbows there could have been. I do wonder if one may have simply given up the title, for whatever reason.

Yeah ... I think this would make sense for the story.
Once there was a rainbow before Wisp and after an unknown period of time another rainbow is chosen magically.... and this new rainbow we all know is Wisp ...

Or there could have been a girl who was brought to be the next Rainbow, and failed in her mission to destroy the Dark One.

The Rainbow prior to Wisp could have easily given up the title. Things were getting bad and in an act of cowardice, she gave up the Color Belt and left.

Maybe it's not that they don't age at all... maybe they just age far more slowly. So perhaps one "outgrew" the job?

that makes sense if you take the "new rainbow brite" into it...
also.. the wisp we know that found the color orb and the belt seemed much younger than the rainbow brite that defeated the dark princess.. you know?
like wisp seemed 5ish Rainbow Brite seemed... 7-8ish? not a huge difference.. but maybe a very slow change

I think that might be, well, overthinking it. I'm fairly certain the staff didn't take something like that into account. I just add it all up to be the fact that it was a slightly different, and better quality, animation style that make her look slightly older come the movie and after.

That gives a lot to think...maybe the bad guys were defeated and everybody were living happy, so the previous wisp passed away,till a new bad guy came and a new wisp had to be found...well the new series totally gives you loads of option on how it could have been...

meh, nearly every conversation we have about rainbow brite is overthought, it's just something to do... however, in the beginnings of rainbow land she seems significantly younger than the rest of the series, maybe it's just naivety... and she wised up after dealing with the dark one.. but thats my take ^^
