if I were to relaunch rainbow brite..here is what i would do

I would start out with a new season of the show that tells the backstory of Rainbowland and the color kids....so people would know how they came to exstince. Then in the animation I would make sure all the color kids and rainbow brite look same way they did in the original series...( she and the color kids would never be tweens bratz knock off..lol) Then with the toys i would have Belts,wands, and jewerly that would light up and play music and or sound effects. The dolls would be the same as they were in the 1980's...but i would give the dolls good quality hair a person can comb, and the fabric of the dolls would be more shiner. Then as each season of the show comes and goes a new batch of dolls would be released, i would change the dolls up for each season.

For example

Season 1 (Rainbow Brite D) (D for Dawn)
Reagular dolls 12 inch
Rainbow Brite
Red Butler
Lala Orange
Canary Yellow
Patty O'Green
Buddy Blue
Indgo
Shy Violet

Limited Edition (these dolls would be more popular )

The color castle (this castle put together your self toy would be able to hold the 12' inch dolls, this castle can light up and sounds

"This season rainbow brite powers-up"

"this dolls will have a brighter colors on her dress, and large fariy/ butterfly wings" (the wings will be a shiney metallic color that gives off a rainbow shimer )

Fantany Change dolls
(the dolls will have two diffrent outfits, the first is the original one of the dolls, then the second is a fantany change that envoles just pulling off velcro)

Color Kids "Talking karaoke dolls" (these dolls talk and sing as well, they will also be interactive with each other, you can also use the power belt to make each doll sing and talk)

Oh man I would love to be the one relauch rainbow brite, beacuse i feel it is important the give kids the message to be a kid ,have dreams and a strong determanation at any challenge you face. Bratz and barbie don't do this at all....anyway give me some feedback...thank

I also would launch DVDs, music cds, art books, and graphic novels for each season for example
SEASON 1
Rainbow Brite Classic
DVD all 13 episodes of 1980's series

Music CD Rainbow Brite Classic
(contains all Background music and singing songs such as:Rainbowland and Paint a rainbow inside your heart)

Art books
(artwork from the show, 30 to 50 pages )

Graphic Novles
(I would try to release at least 5 )

The same thing would apply for each season as well

Great ideas!

I hope RB is very successful this time and stays around like forever. I can imagine if they will eventually produce as much RB stuff as MLP or Strawberry Shortcake has now, I'd be going crazy trying to collect everything. I'd love to see all sorts of different things out as well for example: different pvc figures, playsets, big stuffed Starlites, Sunrisers, Skydancers, and more of every single colorkid, horses, and other characters, and places like sprite houses and the color castle, even the grunge buggy would be cool too. Also, maybe something like a 25th anniversary RB monopoly game or RB "scene it" would be fun, Just some thoughts

A monopoly game would be fun too...Only thing would be getting enough "places" to buy on the board...but I am sure a die-hard fan could make one... I remember I had to make my own WV Monopoly game in 8th grade...that was quite fun to do, even if the board was made from posterboard... the pieces would be easy...get some of the PVC figures off ebay... hmm... is fun to think about.

Oh gosh I havnt played Monopoly in a LONG time...but if it was a Rainbow version I would have to play it again hehe
