Rainbow Brite Dog Costume

I want to order one of these for my dog:

But according to the size chart, she'd need a large...and the biggest I've seen for sale anywhere is a medium. Have any of you bought these for your dogs? If so, are they stretchy, so might fit a slightly larger dog? Or would it totally be too small for her? I wonder how much it would cost to get it altered...lol
