Pondering...

I've gotten myself into painting furniture - from little jewelry boxes to big desks, pretty much anything wooden that needs a face-lift - and I was wondering if anyone here would buy jewelry boxes or other things like that with RB or other 80s shows painted on them? When I have an example finished, I'll post a few pictures, but I'm just curious if anyone would like that sort of thing.

Also! I found instructions on how to make cookie cutters, so once I have the materials, I'm going to make a few RB cookie cutters. So, keep an eye out! I'll post any auctions/sales here.

actually, it's funny you mention that. I'm in the process of getting a ton of custom Rainbow Brite necklaces done, and eventually more accessories. But the thing is, I need a box to put them in : ) I don't want anything right away, if that's ok. : ) Is there any way that you could make it glittery? : )

I might. I suppose it would all depend on what I wanted at the time, and the pricing. I know I wouldn't need a jewelry box though... I only have 3 pcs. of jewelry and one of them I never take off!

I could make it glittery ^_^ I think I might buy up whatever I find at the Goodwill, take their measurements, then do custom orders. So you could say I want this character or that colour, etc.

I'm really excited to start making the cookie cutters.

I also work with clay, so I might be making RB figurines, too. I've been itching to make a clay Color Castle xD

I think it'll be interesting to see samples once you get busy and such. Good custom work is hard to come by so yeah So many good ideas though. The figurines would definitely be interesting to see!

Yes, one can! Lol. It's just a matter of sprinkling some glitter on them before the paint dries, or mix a glaze with glitter, like glittery nailpolish. I'll have to get working on those figures, then! I've got a bunch of artwork to do before the end of this month for an art show, but after that, I should have plenty of time.

Yaay! I love making them ^_^ They're usually pretty small, too. I think every one I've done so far has been two inches tall, three at the most. So they won't make too much clutter for ya xD

I finally took the time to start working on one of my jewelry boxes!






She's not finished; there's touching up that needs to be done, but she's rather adorable, don't you think? The background's only black because that's all I had in bulk to work with, but I think it has a rather nice effect in popping the colours (and rather harkens back to the Hot Topic re-release of her, ne?)
