.
Do you know if that's really an 80's item or is it 'vintage look' from Gen 3 or Gen 4?

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure it's vintage. I can't think of any paper products that were made past Gen 1.

pretty rare to see indigo in that picture, she's not ususally involved, unless it's the whole crew, i'm surprised it wasn't just patty and red!

does anyone happen to know what kind of advent calender this is? was it the kind with the little toys in it? or just a count down
'cuz if it's the little toys kind.. and it still has the little toys..

...
that would be a merry christmas :P

Oh, right. But this looks more like a greeting-card-slash-advent-calendar and I can't think of anything along those lines that was released past Gen 1.

I can't swear to it, but I think there were greeting cards in Gen 3. I don't much care for the dolls in that release but most of the other stuff was pretty cool and there was a lot of it.

...Yes, it would indeed! :bg:

Indigo was part of Gen 1A but she was released several months after the initial issue. She wasn't in most of the adverts and other material such as the package inserts or the backs of the packages because it was all prepared before she came on the scene.

On the other hand, there was a lot of independently produced (and authorized) RB artwork that was used in books and other products back then. This didn't come from Hallmark but I'm sure they approved them before they could be used. That could be the source of the design under discussion. That same basic calendar (if it was not made by Hallmark) was likely sold in many different versions with RB being just one of them. If an outside company designed the artwork, I'm sure they were free to use whoever they wanted to as long as they followed Hallmark's standards and guidelines.

Sorry, it's not the kind with toys :( It's just the kind that has the little flaps to lift up and you can see a cute picture inside.

Also, it does say Hallmark 1983 on the back so I am pretty sure it is Gen 1.
